Black Horn Kitami Long Dessert Spoon, 20cm Cutlery|Tableware Brands

The Kitami dessert spoon is made from polished buffalo horn. It has a pointed bowl and a long, slender handle. Each one is handmade in Vietnam.

The spoon is perfect for eating chocolate fondant and tiramisu. The long handle can easily reach the bottom of an ice cream sundae. You can also use it to stir cocktails.

Each piece is hand carved by talented craftsmen. They use waste materials that would otherwise have been discarded or destroyed. These include water buffalo horn and rosewood off-cuts from furniture makers.

Due to the natural materials used, the colour and pattern of each item may vary slightly . Each one is unique.

Not dishwasher safe.

Please note that while horn from water buffalo is predominantly black, it can have yellow and milky white streaks running through it, creating a marbled or two toned effect. So your product will be completely unique, and one of a kind.

Inspired by her mother’s collection of antique silver spoons, Sarah designed and launched a range of horn cutlery with British hallmarked silver. It went on to win an award for ‘Outstanding Design’ presented by the British Interior Design Association in May 2003. Sarah uses 3D models, rather than drawings, to design and refine her pieces so she can visualise them in real space.
